Ayşe Yılmaz
Biography
Practice & Background
Yılmaz layers pigment, resin, and textile fragments to build surfaces that shift with light — evoking the textures and rhythms of coastal İzmir.
Artist Statement
In Their Own Words
Surface is a record of time. Each layer I apply holds a trace of decision, hesitation, and revision. I want the viewer to sense that accumulation — the slow archaeology of making.
